Makeup Products I’m Loving Right Now

Although my blog isn’t centred around beauty I wanted to write about a few makeup products that I’m really loving right now. It can be hard to find makeup that works well with your skin but when you find those products you love it makes getting ready in the morning so much simpler. This is especially great when you have kids!

Rimmel London Wake Me Up Concealer

I have thin skin which means when I’m even a little bit tired, I get dark circles under my eyes. The Rimmel London Wake Me Up Concealer is the one product I keep in my bag at all times. It’s light, easy to apply and covers the areas I need it too easily.

Rimmel London Lipstick

I’m a fan of natural colour lipsticks. The Rimmel London Lipstick lasts quite well but not all day. The colour is Mauvement 210. I find it really easy to put on, which to be fair, most lipsticks are. It has a lovely smell too which I can’t quite place but I like it.

Maybelline New York Push Up Angel Mascara

I don’t use many different mascaras but I’ve had a few watery ones and sticky ones. The Maybelline Push Up Angel Mascara wasn’t perfect because it felt sticky for a while after I applied it but once it dries I like the effect and coverage.

The Body Shop Extra Virgin Minerals Powder Foundation

I’m not a big fan of powered foundation but when I realised I needed it as a finishing touch to my makeup this foundation came up tops. It’s light and perfect to reduce shine on my face.

Aloe BB Créme

When BB creme became a thing in the makeup world I thought I’d give it a go and try one. The Aloe BB Creme was a perfect fit for my sensitive skin and provided great coverage without concealer. As a bonus, it has SPF 20 too, so protection from the sun. Unfortunately, this isn’t sold anymore 🙁

Sonya Liquid Liner

Eyeliner is so frustrating. I tried everything from gel pencils to liquid liner. The Sonya Liquid Liner has made it easier to apply eyeliner and the shape of the tip makes it easier to create flicks and flourishes and be creative with it. This product isn’t available anymore but there is a new one on the horizon that I’m looking forward to trying!

Aloe BB Creme and Sonya Liquid Eyeliner

I’ve only recently begun to enjoy makeup more by experimenting with different eye makeup and blushes but I’m yet to find a favourite blush and eyeshadow.
